Interior Design La RoQ

The challenge of the project was to create a versatile space that would sequentially become the ideal setting for several functions such as: breakfast restaurant, casual lunch or dinner, party events, conferences, etc.

La ROQ Restaurant preserves the modernist lines of the architecture of the Sinaia Hotel building, as well as the reference to the geographical area, the surrounding mountains landscape, locally inspired materials, natural geometric elements - such as pine cones or other stylized elements either from traditional Romanian motifs or locally nature inspired references.

The chromatic palette brings the outside inside: both the constant green freshness of the conifers and also the chromatic cyclicity of the leaves depending on the seasons, juxtaposed with the interpretation of the marble flooring in different shapes and colors.

The bar is treated as a central accent piece that surrounds itself with the flexible, movable furniture, as a mountain stone block surrounded by forest vegetation. Brass accents and globe types of lighting enhances your state of feeling precious in vacation, by seating at the Hotel Sinaia, but also adds a small touch of suggestions to the known architectural pieces in the area, such as the Peles Castle.
